2 Months Later SpongeBob, or 2MLS, is a fan-made animated video based on Nickelodeon’s ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ television show. It is a one-minute video comprised of 15 individual scenes and is the collective work of several SpongeBob fans who wanted to express their love for the show. I was asked to work on the project as an animation artist. As a big fan of SpongeBob, I jumped at the opportunity.
The process of creating a SpongeBob fan-video in two months was a major challenge. I set up a process dividing animation tasks between different members based on their individual abilities. This allowed us to complete most of the tasks by the stipulated deadline. We had to use our creative skills to ensure that the animation was as close to the original as possible. As an experienced animation artist, I managed to capture the essence and spirit of SpongeBob within the 15 seconds.
The success of 2MLS was a huge achievement for me, for it was a result of our collective effort to deliver an entertaining, engaging animation video within a short period.
